Description

Project Villa 210125

Customer request
I have recently purchased a modern detached villa of approx. 300 sqm with swimming pool, terrace and private park to which I plan to move next autumn. Recently built, the property is already finished, but in its current state it is empty: I am therefore contacting you in order to realise a complete project to furnish the interior of the house with an assortment of high-end furniture for everyday use.
As for the distribution of rooms, the floor plan is divided as follows: the living area consists of a large entrance hall with a view of the garden, a study, an open-plan living room with dining area and a kitchen open to the living area. The sleeping area, on the other hand, incorporates a master bedroom with en suite bathroom and a view of the pool, a second double bedroom, two bathrooms and a large wardrobe room that we would like to use as a walk-in wardrobe.
Stylistically speaking, we are oriented towards modern design and we love furnishings with simple lines and formal cleanliness. Our idea is to realise a coherent and continuous home decor project: the rooms should dialogue with each other and have a close connection with the outside of the house and the lake landscape. In this context, natural light will play a decisive role, thanks to the many windows and large glass windows in the project. Among the finishes we like are marble and wood, and as colours we prefer neutral and natural palettes. We do not exclude the choice of colour a priori: some walls will be decorated with wallpaper, fine wall coverings and wall paint, so a few touches of orange, green or cherry red might be appreciated.
The installation of the installations has just been completed. This will be followed by the laying of beige and anthracite stoneware tiles in the bathrooms and light marble in the kitchen, while the living and sleeping areas will be covered with geometric parquet and Hungarian herringbone planks respectively.

Interior Designer's Comments
Our interior decorators were happy to accommodate the request of this client, who chose Servizio di Consulenza to realise a truly exclusive project: to furnish the interiors of a 300 square metre single-family luxury villa on a single level overlooking the lake, in a town a few steps from Como. With plans and schematics of the installations in hand, a highly customised home decor proposal was realised, attentive to respecting the architecture of the house, enhancing the external panorama, and satisfying the client's style requirements. The choice of furnishings was indeed influenced by a preference for modern design, but this did not prevent the interior designers from conceiving functional solutions for everyday life.

Surrounded by a private garden that protects privacy, the home opens onto a large entrance hall in which a wardrobe corner with mirror has been created, and a discreet side lounge in which to accommodate any guests or clients. Adjacent to the entrance is a home-office studio of about 30 square metres dominated by a mid-room desk in Canaletto walnut, light leather executive armchairs, a modular bookcase with poles, a suspended sideboard and an arched lamp with a contemporary design.

Continuing beyond the entrance, one is greeted by a dramatic extra-clear glass cavity that, following the move to the new home, will house a charming winter garden with numerous plant species. This is an architectural element with a strong visual impact, designed not only to visually separate the entrance and living area, but also to allow natural light to penetrate from the ceiling. The surrounding space has been left substantially empty to facilitate movement, with the exception of a bookcase in a niche inserted in the left wall and a grand piano.

Once past the cavedium, we finally find ourselves immersed in the heart of the project: a large rectangular open-plan living room of almost 120 square metres with a lounge overlooking the swimming pool and a dining area overlooking the garden. Distinguished by large windows, the room has been conceived as a unicum: although distinct, the functional areas are closely interconnected both in visual terms and in terms of stylistic coherence. The only dividing element is the corner sofa with bookcase backrest which, placed in the centre of the living room, acts as a pivot for the development of a cosy relaxation area furnished with a Papaya orange leather armchair, a crystal coffee table and a wall panelling in Fashion Wood and full-width Mud/Jute lacquer.
The area behind the sofa was considered suitable for the design of a sophisticated dining area: in this space there is a table for 6/8 people in Emperador Light marble and heat-treated oak, armless chairs-armchairs with a Wengé-stained ash wood structure and a suspended buffet unit in Dove grey lacquer and Fashion Wood Carbone oak with LED lighting. The table top is surmounted by an original chandelier with glass diffusers positioned at different heights to give a pleasant effect of movement.

In line with the design concept of the other rooms, the villa houses a modern corner kitchen with an island enclosed by transparent glass sliding walls. The 30 square metres available have been exploited for the insertion of a made-to-measure L-shaped composition characterised by a large stainless steel worktop, a generous storage solution and a central module equipped for food preparation and featuring a snack counter with stools on which to eat breakfast or a quick meal. In addition to fine finishes and state-of-the-art appliances, the kitchen has a special feature: tracked windows, an elegant separator that can be opened and closed to isolate noise or smells without obscuring the view. This has been decisive in weaving a material fil rouge between rooms: the seats are coordinated; the glass of the structural elements is recalled in the accessories; the table, sofa and kitchen floor share the same colour palette.

Returning to the entrance, a long corridor leads to a sleeping area with a regular layout in which a careful subdivision of space has made it possible to create two double bedrooms, a walk-in wardrobe and three bathrooms.
The main room is the master bedroom, a luxurious 37 square metre room with two doors and large windows overlooking the terrace and lake-view swimming pool. The home decor included a round bed in the centre of the room in Perla leather with side tables in Sequoia Brown matt stone; a sliding wardrobe lacquered Tortora full-wall; a reading corner with a velvet armchair; and a dressing table area in Rovere Antico Carbone with lacquered shelves, a backlit mirror and open storage units set against a wall decorated with green wallpaper. Concentrated in the complements (a capitonné pouf and a full-length mirror in a Fern shade), this accent colour was chosen to ensure an effect of chromatic continuity between the interior and the shades visible in the vegetation of the hills overlooking the lake. The room is served by a 12-square-metre en suite bathroom furnished with a suspended composition with a double countertop washbasin, veneered oak top and suspended base unit in Beaver colour. The furniture finishes are deliberately neutral to facilitate matching with the double wall covering - porcelain stoneware on the floor, Grigio Fior di Bosco marble on the walls.

The guest room is a second double bedroom of 25 square metres, a room of modern luxury that shares with the corridor a LED lighting system embedded in the walls. The study of the space allowed for the inclusion of a designer bed suspended on overlapping carpets, two wall-mounted bedside tables accompanied by asymmetrical lamps, a minimalist study corner with an essential desk, suspended wall units and linear shelves, and a corner wardrobe with a bookcase end module. Unlike the master bedroom, this room dares with a range of colours from soft powder pink, salmon and peach to bolder violet and red, the latter adopted to give character to the complements and handles of the wardrobe.

Completing the sleeping area was the creation of an exclusive wardrobe room, a 21 m² room prepared for the installation of a double walk-in wardrobe for him and her, for a total of 4 compositions. The two main wardrobes were placed close to the short walls, while two independent modules without doors were placed on the walls at the centre of the room. This made it possible to divide the room into two functional areas - one male and one female, each served by a pouf, a round rug and a full-length mirror - and to organise the clothing accordingly.

The last two rooms are the bathrooms: like the en suite, the intention was to enhance the spaces with fine materials, material effects and light and dark natural colours. The guest bathroom has a surface area of 16 square metres, is clad in sandy stoneware, and is furnished with a composition with wall-hung base units, a rectangular side bath in anthracite Corian and open wall units. Next to the large walk-in shower a laundry corner will be designed and a column inserted to hide the washing machine and dryer. The last bathroom is a small room of 7 square metres left to serve the living area. Consequently, a compact cabinet with integrated washbasin and a backlit mirror has been chosen. The finishes deserve a special mention: the sides of the bathtub cabinet are in fine marble, as is the design statue that the customer, at our suggestion, will display in a corner of the bathroom.

The success of this luxury villa was determined by two factors: on the one hand, the willingness of the interior decorators to accommodate the client's requests and provide the best design solutions for his home; on the other hand, the client himself, who let himself be guided by the advice of our Professionals and chose the quality of a 100% Made in Italy catalogue.
