Shanghai by Cantori is a wooden sideboard with high wrought iron feet, proposed in two versions: a sideboard with four doors, ideal in a large entryway or sophisticated living room, and a dresser unit that can be used both in the living room and bedroom. The wooden structure with rounded edges is supported by vertical elements in forged and faceted metal which are inserted at the four corners. They form the high feet and connect to the base. The doors open to reveal the lacquered interior, divided by a shaped glass shelf with a polished edge. The top, slightly nestled into the structure, can be chosen in wood to match the doors, ceramic or marble.
The sideboard / dresser has two side doors and two central drawers with soft closure. The top is glass, allowing for us to see an open compartment upholstered in fabric, designed as a display case for ornaments or for storing jewelery and small accessories. The curved cut of the doors catches the eye, revealing the open compartment under the top and serving as a grip for opening.
Shanghai, with its refined details and fine workmanship by expert artisan hands, reinterprets Cantori's historic use of wrought iron, making it the protagonist in timeless furnishings.
