Description

Aurora is a modern metal rocking armchair with upholstered cushions by Cantori, available also with 4 legs and with upholstered backrest or with slats.
The metal structure is entirely made of iron; specifically, the feet are made with a cold cone-shaping process. The elements are assembled together by using inner tie-rods, resulting in a lack of visible weldings. The overall look is that of an extremely homogenous silhouette. The upholstered seat and back are characterised by a wooden core coated in foam at two different densities to offer the right comfort, while the cushions are hand upholstered.
Perfect to recreate cosy and elegant conversation corners in classic style living rooms, Aurora can also be adapted to modern Provençal settings where the pastel tones of the covers in fabric, linen and velvet well adapt to the atmospheres of the past with an elegant and romantic feel.

Aurora is a classy armchair for a sophisticated sitting room, ideal for those who are looking for a comfortable design upholstered armchair refined with high quality materials. The surrounding seat-back embraces the body in its warm hug and its interesting lines come in a radial metal seat-back which creates a luxurious crown around people's back.
Aurora is a luxury rocking armchair with a clean minimal style which is adorned by soft velvet, fabric and linen. If you would like to maintain a connection between the sitting room and the dining room, Aurora matches perfectly with the namesake chair that you can find in the "You may also like" box, at the bottom of this page. A perfect and non-conventional rocking chair to enjoy reading or even a relaxing tea with friends matching it with a nice coffee table.

Electro-plating: this is a technique of surface finishing that allows to cover a non-precious metal with a thin layer of a more noble metal. In a tank, the so-called plating bath, the object to be coated is immersed in a watery solution, containing the metal to be deposited. Creating a potential difference by means of a current generator, it generates a movement of electric charges that transfer the solute metal object to be coated. This creates an extra-thin coating layer, compact and bright, which on one hand protects the metal structures from corrosion and on the other hand it improves the aesthetic quality surface. The most common plating bath is the steel chrome, which increases its resistance and protects it against corrosion, giving the typical shiny and reflective look. Cantori carries out this treatment by respecting worldwide standards in the nautical fields (at present the highest ones) which guarantee an excellent quality of the surface and a particular resistance against wear.

Cold cone-shaping: this crafting process allows reducing the metal tube diameter through a hammering process.
