Description

Room Project 210125

Customer request
I have recently purchased a newly built 304 sq.m. detached villa overlooking Lake Como. I would like to design the sleeping area, in particular my priority is a furnishing project for the master bedroom. I prefer to concentrate the design on furnishing the room and only later extend it to the adjacent bathroom and the walk-in wardrobe which will occupy another room. The sleeping area is in fact divided into two bedrooms, three bathrooms and a wardrobe room.
The master bedroom in question has a rectangular floor plan of 37 square metres. At present, all the walls are white, and on the floor Hungarian dyed Grey Oak parquet strips have been laid. The position of windows and doors has already been defined. In detail, the room has a wall almost entirely destined for two French windows connecting the room and the terrace, a wall partially occupied by the door leading to the private bathroom, another wall with two doors leading to the room, and a last wall that is completely free. We like the idea of having two access doors, also considering that we do not need a large wardrobe but plan to use another room as a walk-in wardrobe.

Interior Designer's Comments
The customer turned to the diotti.com interior designers to design the rectangular double bedroom in his new villa in Como. The consultancy and design service he used guaranteed a complete furnishing project, 3D renderings, photorealistic images and technical diagrams of the systems if necessary.
Our Interior Designer analysed the already divided sleeping area, focusing on the area to be transformed into a large master bedroom suite. The plan revealed a 37 square metre rectangular room with a 12 square metre en suite bathroom; the room to be used as a wardrobe measures 21 square metres.

Having noted the technical details and measurements of the room and studied the furnishing tastes and needs of the customers, the design team set about defining the furnishings and colours of this large, bright room. The result is a room in tones of white, beige and pearl, with touches of green that recall the lush vegetation that surrounds this luxury villa and which deserves to be reproduced in the interior.
Sage green wallpaper with an organic pattern has been chosen for one wall, the bed is completed by decorative pillows and a dark green fabric blanket, the pouf and armchair recall the same fern green colour that can be admired when looking at nature outside the windows. The green colour is supported by the shades of white on the walls, wardrobes and bed that make the room even more airy and bright. Everything is balanced by the presence of wood chosen for the dressing table shelf and bronze details proposed in some of the accessories.

Going into the details of the furnishing choices made, of absolute note is the centrepiece bed which occupies the privileged space in front of the large windows overlooking the terrace and swimming pool, enjoying the exceptional panorama of the lake shores. To give even more emphasis to such a unique and special room, a design round bed has been chosen with two headboard and bed-ring cushions completely upholstered and covered in pearl-coloured leather. This central arrangement and the circular shape of the bed favour walkability within the room, making the inhabitant's movements more fluid.
At the side of the bed are two small tables with a Sequoia Brown matt stone top and an Anodic Bronze powder-coated metal frame, chosen as an alternative to the classic bedside tables in a room that stands out for its originality. Framing the area is a rectangular rug with an abstract pattern, proposed in shades of sand/beige.

In front of the bed, on the supporting column separating the two large windows, a flat-screen television has been placed. The interior decorators recommend floor-length curtains that completely conceal the windows, shield from outside light and reflections, and provide privacy in the room.

On the wall behind the bed, a wardrobe with 4 sliding doors cm 454.9 h.255.1 in matt Tortora lacquered with integrated handles in matt Tortora lacquered metal and interiors in Decor Tortora melamine. In the design the wardrobe appears as if set into the wall, this is because masonry work has been planned to create a lowering and side walls. Given the shape of the room, such an insertion made it possible to partially hide the wardrobe, making the style of the master bedroom even more essential and clean.

The furnishing proposal continued with the choice of other furnishings that would contribute to the harmony and look of this luxurious room. On the wall decorated with wallpaper, a make-up corner consisting of a suspended shelf and service shelves was installed. The suspended top in Rovere Antico wood in Carbone colour measures 224 cm p.52,7 h.6, the horizontal storage shelf in Tortora matt lacquered cm 128 p.24 h.24,3, two linear shelves in Tortora matt lacquered cm 64 / 128 p.30 h.3,5. The asymmetrical elements that make up this dressing table corner create an essential and balanced composition, standing out for both practical and aesthetic purposes. The round wall mirror with perimeter LED lights is certainly more striking. This is a made-to-measure mirror made of two separate elements that are mounted on the wall in adherence to the shelf, giving the effect of being a single full round mirror.
The beauty corner is completed by a square pouf with a green velvet diamond-patterned upholstery.

In the opposite corner of the large room there is a small relaxation lounge composed of an armchair, floor lamp and small table. Here the refined air of the entire room is sustained by theelegant designer armchair with capitonné upholstery in green Azimutvelvet, combined with an Anodic Bronze metal frame. Next to it is a round coffee table with a Sequoia Brown matt stone top and an Anodic Bronze metal frame from the same family as the bedside tables. In the corner there is a floor lamp with satin-finish white blown glass spheres that create a play of balances with the minimal structure in burnished iron.

The furnishing project for this master bedroom suite reflects the design concept of a luxurious villa with a contemporary design in which interiors and exteriors enter into dialogue, creating an almost symbiotic relationship between the natural context and the domestic dimension.
