Description

Living Room Project 280524

Customer Request
We would like an interior design project for a wall in the living room which is nearly 7 metres long. The wall is adjacent to the door of the entrance of our home, and features a niche with a small load-bearing wall which cannot be removed. We would like an elegant and functional furnishing solution, which is capacious but does not appear to take up excessive space. Fundamentally we would like space for a large flat-screen TV. We would like guaranteed visual continuity also regarding colours and materials.

Interior Designer's comments
The Customer's request was clear: interior design project for a living room wall with a niche near the entryway.
Analysing the preferences of the clients, the interior designers identified the necessity of creating space for the tv, storage units, shelves for displaying decorative objects and a solution to optimise the niche. All of this translated into the designing of a custom-made wall system and a built-in wardrobe.

The 540 cm wide modular wall system includes wardrobe columns with hinged doors on the left, bookcase columns with open shelves on the right, and a suspended TV base with tilt opening and wall panels in the central section. In this way, we guaranteed storage space (hidden and open) and space for a modern flat-screen television.
Specifically, a 60 cm wide wardrobe column with push-pull opening was chosen, as well as a 48 cm wide wardrobe column with a cantilevered door which facilitates opening; both in smooth open-pore Wengè oak wood. On the left side, a matching buffer strip was included which heightens the aesthetic appeal of the entire wall sysem.
In the centre, it was decided to cover the wall with wall panels in Champagne-coloured metallic lacquer and to position a suspended base with a tilt door in Wengé open-pore oak wood, matching the storage columns. This base cabinet acts as a stand for the large freestanding television.
The composition continues on the right with two open columns, cm 60 d.38 h.256, with 5 shelves; in the Alpha melamine finish.

The 154 cm wide niche between the wall system and the front door of the home was transformed into a built-in equipped wardrobe for an entryway with shelves and drawers, and closed with a custom-made folding door. The doors were created with a metallic lacquer finish in the colour Champagne, the same finish and colour as the wall panels behind the television.
Inside, silver-coloured anodised aluminium metal uprights and pearl-coloured canvas melamine shelves have been included. A low chest of two drawers on wheels offers additional storage space and, thanks to the wheels, can be moved if necessary to store larger objects.

The result is a living room wall system and functional entrance with a strong aesthetic impact, certainly thanks to the gold metallic lacquer finish which embellishes the space and makes it more luminous.
