Betacryl® Maintenance Tips
How to remove stains: Since it is a non-porous material, it does not absorb any liquids that it comes into contact with, all stains are purely superficial.
In case of light stains, treat the surface with a cloth, water and a normal household detergent. If the stains are more severe, treat the surface with a Scothbrite sponge and a creamy abrasive detergent, using a circular motion. Stains caused by cigarettes can be removed with a cloth and an abrasive detergent.
Greasy or wax-based cleaners should not be used to prevent a coating from forming on the surface of the place. Contact with hazardous chemicals, solvents, methyl chloride solutions, acetone, oven and metal cleaning liquids should also be avoided: if this happens, promptly rinse the surface with plenty of soapy water and dry the surface with a soft cloth.
How to remove limescale : Use an abrasive sponge, vinegar or vinegar cleaner.
How to avoid heat dulling : Although very resistant to heat, placing any very hot object directly on the top may cause slight damage to the surface. We therefore recommend always using trivets or steel heatproof bars. If you pour boiling liquids directly into the sink, it is advisable to open the cold water tap. In addition, it is always a good idea to use appropriate sized pots for the stove and always place them in the centre of the stove, if the edges of the pot protrude from the stove, the surrounding surface could be damaged. If a particular hot object or a lit cigarette is in direct contact with the surface for a long time, a loss of surface shine may occur. Treat the dulled area with a Scotchbrite sponge and a creamy abrasive cleaner, then wipe the same area with a cloth and polishing cream in a circular motion. The surface will regain its shine because Betacryl® is non-porous and homogenous throughout.
How to remove small scratches: It is recommended not to use Betacryl® as a cutting surface. For light scratches, use the same treatment used to avoid heat dulling.

Betacryl®: is a non-porous, homogenous, inert and non-toxic material available in 15 mm thickness. Because it is non-porous, its surfaces are particularly hygenic, which is why it is used to make kitchen worktops, basin tops, bathroom and shower walls, wall tiles and counters for public spaces such as healthcare, shops, hotels, restuarants and offices.
