The different functions of floor lamps
Floor standing lamps have a different visual impact depending on the room they are placed in or the way they are used. For a practical reading corner on the sofa or to properly illuminate a relaxation area, a lamp with a precise focal point is needed, with adjustable arms or with an arched structure and preferably with a lampshade capable of concentrating the light rather than dispersing it around the room. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a special decorative effect, such as an additional light source to enhance a wall or a composition of shelves and wall units, you can resort to a floor lamp with diffused and soft light, capable of radiating light at 360° in a uniform and subtle manner.
Floor lamps for the living room: modern and design
Perfect furnishing accessories to add a touch of style to your living area, bedroom or study, floor lamps with a modern design are characterised by linear and soft shapes for unmatched elegance, or by geometric lines with experimental shapes for a bolder look. A modern, well-kept living room will favour essential metal lamps with a large fabric lampshade, while more artistic or design-oriented will welcome blown glass models, available in several colours to create particular plays of light.
