Jewel is a designer chair in bent wood, available as a model made entirely from ash wood, or instead as a chair upholstered in fabric, velvet, faux leather or leather. Distinguished by a cone-shape which becomes slimmer towards the ground, the four legs are skillfully smoothed by expert artisan hands. The result is a smooth and compact appearance, a valuable detail which is also reflected in the backrest, which fits harmoniously into the supporting structure and emphasises an elegant contrast of colours and finishes.
The solid wood structure thus acts as a buttress to the curved backrest, padded or in plywood, and supports the matching seat. The backrest is not particularly high, but the curved lines envelop the lower back and follow the shape of the body for a greater seating comfort.

The stained ash wood finish is achieved by applying paint which leaves the grain of the wood visible. The colour appears desaturated compared to open-pore lacquer which instead has a solid colour. The colour reference is indicative, as the paint can take on different shades depending on how it is absorbed by the underlying wood grain, and can therefore appear fuller or more desaturated.
