Material Specifications
Marble: elegant material, characterised by open veins which may feature resin-based grouting, which creates a uniform surface if there is slight surface roughness. At the same time, this guarantees greater structural resistance. Since it is a natural stone, sometimes with an age exceeding a million years, the surface cannot be defined as "perfect": each slab is unique, and has more or fewer marked veins depending on the cutting and polishing processes. Natural, micro-imperfections may be present, and this is a characteristic of marble not attributable to defects. Marble tops are naturally porous: a possible protective polyester treatment hides the porosity to the touch, leaving all natural characteristics of the slab visible.
Hammered Glass: obtained by working the sheet in the melting furnace (this is why it is also called "fired glass"). The already shaped sheet is in fact heated and then left to cool. During the cooling phase, the glass "relaxes", acquiring the particular texture: the result is a wavy surface reminiscent of wrought iron. The surface has a rich texture and appearance, providing pleasant plays of light, shadows and reflections.
