The right mattress for every bed

In a children's bedroom, a study or anywhere a single bed is needed, mattresses have two available sizes: 80 x 190 cm or 90 x 200 cm, the maxi version of the common standard single bed.

In a more spacious room, for example a guest room or the bedroom of a teenager, we often find a large single bed measuring 120 x 200cm. A small double bed, ideal for a bedroom with limited space available, is 140 x 190 or 140 x 200 cm, a good compromise between comfort and space available.

In wider rooms, the standard double beds are very common, measuring 160 x 200 cm, or even king and super king sizes, measuring 180 x 200 or 200 x 200 cm. In a room with an unusual shape, especially with a bed in the middle, the most unique solution is a round bed, with a diameter of 220 or 240 cm.

Rigid or soft, choosing the perfect mattress

Choosing a mattress is a highly subjective matter, we can however take into account universal evaluation criteria such as weight, materials, height and degree of firmness.

A firm mattress will guarantee full support even for people with a more robust build; conversely, a softer one will better follow the shape of a slender body. If a double bed is shared by people with different sleeping needs, a double mattress can be replaced with two single mattresses coupled together: each side of the bed will therefore meet precisely the requirments of the person using it.

Some foam mattresses have different areas of bearing capacity, to give optimum support to different parts of the body. These areas are achieved taking advange of the different densities of the foam: higher in the lumbar region and lower where the extremities of the body are located.
